Help Evan Hill's Cancer Battle!

In the blink of an eye…….On Friday, December 27,2019 - Evan and Caitlin’s whole world changed. Within 24 hours of not feeling well and thinking he was coming down with the flu, Evan had a seizure that led to the discovery of a brain tumor. Surgery was performed shortly after to remove the tumor, and Evan spent the next two weeks recouping in the hospital and rehabilitating his speech and motor functions in the Inpatient Rehab Unit. Shortly before his release home, Evan and his wife and family received the news that no family wants to hear. Evan was diagnosed with Brain Cancer.   


Evan is only 29 years old, married to the love of his life for just over a year, working at a great job and enjoying owning his first home.Evan and Caitlin’s life path has suddenly changed…. It now includes Cancer and all that comes with it.


Evan is currently working with a great care team through Hartford Hospital and was able to get a second opinion confirming his care plan at Dana Farber. Currently Evan is undergoing radiation treatment, followed by a six month to one year regimen of the chemotherapy pill Temodar. Once treatment is completed, Evan will be monitored through frequent MRI’s that will eventually decrease with clean scans. 


There is no doubt Evan and Caitlin will meet this challenge - they are an extraordinary couple! And anything we can do to help and surround  them with love is what is most important so they can focus on beating this thing. We may not be able to help with the physical and emotional challenges this diagnosis brings but we can help to lighten the financial burden .Let’s help make the least of their worries - how to pay their medical and household bills - lighter.
