Help Evan, Jennifer, and Eleanor after the Eaton fire

In November 2019, our brother (Evan Mather), sister-in-law (Jennifer Salazar), and niece (Eleanor Mather) moved into their forever home in Altadena, California. They lost their beloved home in the Eaton fire that raged through the Los Angeles area in January 2025. Evan and Jennifer had ten minutes to pack up and so were only able to bring the bare minimum with them. Eleanor was at her dorm at UCLA, so didn't have a chance to get anything. While we are, of course, grateful that they are safe, staying with Jennifer's dad, it doesn't change the fact that their home and nearly everything in it is gone.

It's hard to live on the other side of the country when your family members are experiencing such a terrible ordeal. We feel helpless and want to do whatever we can to help. We know so many family and friends feel the same.
