Help Evangelina’s Vegan Desserts!

Since opening our storefront (Viva! Vegan) in 2020 we have been riding the same rollercoaster that everyone else has! Closing, reopening, supply shortages, inflation, etc, etc, etc.

We got to a point at the end of 2022 where we were very close to closing the store doors for good, as ingredients costs continued to go up and sales were going down, but we decided to keep going! We believe that our desserts are worth it and even moreso, our loyal customers are worth us not giving up for!

At the beginning of 2023 I asked on Facebook if we should do a GoFundMe and the response was positive, but my pride said no we can raise the money ourselves! Unfortunately business has not been picking up fast enough after the usual Winter slowdown… so I decided to swallow my pride and ask for help.

We are now raising money to help pay for the application fees, permits and equipment required to vend at upcoming markets and festivals!

Vending at these festivals can give us the boost that we need to get through the rest of the year, but just getting there can be expensive! For example, for some festivals tables start around $400 and can run upwards of $900 and that is just for being there! Wedding Expos start around $1500! AND We still need new tents and table equipment, not to mention ingredients! We also need to raise money to pay for fees, permits, licenses, and insurance.

These funds will help pay for these fees and help pay the bills for the Newark storefront and ensure we can keep providing delicious local vegan treats and your celebration cakes!
