Help Evie Get Her Lifesaving Pacemaker
Donation protected
Hi! This is Evie, the cutest, tiniest ferret in Oregon. She's 6 years old, weighs a little over 1 pound, and has so much more life to live, but because of a heart condition I just learned about, she needs a pacemaker to keep going.
I'm working with the best doctor in the state, Dr. Katrina Ramsell, to make sure Evie gets the best care, but this procedure is expensive!
I've been with Evie for the last 4 years after adopting her from a family that couldn't care for her anymore. She loves to play with her sushi tug toy and dooks like crazy when I bring out the salmon oil. She has brought me so much joy over the last few years as I started a new job, went through a sad divorce, moved twice, and lost 2 other pets to cancer. The funny thing is that I never really wanted her, but my daughter convinced me that it was a good idea. Ever since she's come into my life, I can't imagine what I would do without her.
She's genuinely happy to see me, loves to play, enjoys booty scratches, and I'm the only one that she will actually let cuddle in my arms. I get tons of kisses from her and the loudest dooks when I chase her under the blankets.
This surgery to implant a pacemaker could give her 3 more years. We've already brought her back to life with CPR - she wants to be here with us. Any amount will help and will be appreciated. She will be transported to Oregon State University to be operated on by the best, by surgeons who have successfully completed this procedure in the past. Her prognosis for a full life afterwards is super positive.
We'd love to have her with us for as long as possible, and she's fighting to stick around. If you can get behind us and show support for our little angel, we'd be happy to send you pictures of her journey back to health! Thank you for your consideration.
