Help Evonne Fight Lymphoma
Donation protected
In May 2023, Evonne was diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, an aggressive type of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Due to a lymph node mass that caused intense kidney and pancreatic pain, Evonne was hospitalized for a week in May before beginning chemotherapy treatment in early June. She will need a total of 6 rounds of R-CHOP chemotherapy treatment over 18 weeks. In addition to the physical and emotional toll this has taken on Evonne, her cancer and treatment have greatly impacted her husband and 6- and 9-year-old daughters. To help out, her mother has been staying with Evonne’s family, traveling back and forth to her own home in Iowa when able. Evonne and her family have already received much love from their community, and they greatly appreciate all the support thus far.
She and her family are fully invested in tackling anything it takes to support her treatment. As you can imagine, there are many changes to Evonne’s life that have taken place for her to receive life-saving chemotherapy, including medical leave from work and her husband often needing time off work to support her treatments. While Evonne is grateful for the extended illness benefits provided by Pine Rest, the length of her treatment will create financial stress due to lost income. The costs she will be incurring are not small and any help she can get will go a long way! She has humbly allowed this fundraiser to take place.
