Help expand the Pullman Islamic Center
Tax deductible
As a member of the Pullman Islamic Center, I have seen the tremendous growth of our community over the years. When I first moved to Pullman, the masjid was a small and cozy place where we all gathered for our daily prayers and Friday Khutbah. But as time passed, more and more Muslims moved to our town, and our little masjid could no longer accommodate everyone.
I remember the first time we had to do our Jumma prayers in the hallways because there wasn't enough space inside the masjid. It was a beautiful day, and we all stood together, shoulder to shoulder, praying together as one community. But at the same time, it was a reminder that we needed to expand our masjid to accommodate the growing number of Muslims in our town. Same way. the sisters praying downstairs also face space issues as it only accommodates 20 people and with the increasing number of Muslims, it is hard to accommodate all members at the same time.
We have been working tirelessly to make this dream a reality, and we have already made significant progress. We have purchased the land next to the masjid, obtained the necessary permits, and have already raised $450,000 for the construction of the new annex building. But we still have a long way to go.
The new annex building will be a blessing for our community. It will provide much-needed space for our daily prayers, Friday Khutbah, and Eid prayers. It will also have classrooms and a library, allowing us to expand our educational programs for both children and adults. And it will have a social gathering room with a kitchen, where we can host community dinners and other events.
Perhaps most importantly, the new annex building will have two family housing apartments, which will be a source of income for the masjid. This will allow us to become more financially self-sufficient, and better able to serve the needs of our community.
But we cannot do this alone. We need the support of our brothers and sisters around the world to make this dream a reality. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to our goal. With your help, we can build a house of Allah that will serve our community for generations to come.
As the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, then Allah will build for him a house like it in Paradise." [Sunan Ibn Majah 738, Book 4, Hadith 4] This reminds us of the immense reward that awaits us in the Hereafter for supporting the construction of a mosque. By contributing to this noble cause, we are investing in our eternal home in Paradise, where we will be rewarded for every good deed we did in this life. So let us strive to support this project, and may Allah SWT reward us all abundantly.
Please donate today and be a part of this blessed project. May Allah SWT reward you abundantly for your generosity, and may He accept our efforts to build a house of worship that will bring us all closer to Him.
