Help F45 Lismore Reopen after Disastrous Floods

When we started F45 Lismore in 2019 I didn't know I would become so involved in the community and come to call so many members friends. In a 3 year period we've grown to over 100 members and hosted numerous challenges to support causes in the Northern Rivers. Our sole purpose is to get people feeling physically and mentally fit so that they can live healthy lives, and we've been successful at doing so even through COVID!

 

As of Feb 28th 2022 F45 Lismore is now completely devastated. Wilsons River rose by 14.4m and sent 4.5 meters of floodwater through the CBD of Lismore, completely swallowing my gym. We did our best to prepare by elevating all the equipment into the roof, but no one expected the river to rise by that amount, that fast.

 

The entire gym from floor to ceiling has been swallowed by the flood, all the equipment is contaminated or ruined, the extent of the damage is hard to calculate, but everything will need to be replaced, repaired over the coming months so that we can start running classes again. 

 

We have put my heart, soul and life savings into this business. Whilst I'm emotional about the loss I believe that rebuilding is more important than ever as the community needs an outlet to get through the next few months.

 

For those that don't know the entire Lismore CBD is located with in a flood zone so insurance is not covered.

We're rallying to support Tenzin, Oli & Johnny and his loyal trainers to reopen by raising $80,000. This would assist in the replacement of equipment, cleaning, electrical, sound system, flooring and rebuild the gym.

By helping us get back on our feet we will be able to start the process of reopening again.
