Help Faith Akers on Her Road to Independence!

You, together with He Is Faithful Ministries (dba Pathways2Hope), have the opportunity to help Faith Akers on her Road to Independence!

 

At birth, Faith was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). It caused her to be wheelchair bound her whole life. Around the age of 15, kids her age started getting their temps/license, which was something she thought she would never achieve. Also, since her power wheelchair limits her from riding in just any vehicle, she never got to ride with friends in their cars. She always felt left out.

 

Two years ago, Faith discovered there IS a way she can drive and she recently obtained her license! The only downside is that the vans which can modified for wheelchair accessibility are extremely expensive. While a state agency will cover the vehicle modifications, Faith has to purchase a new van that will cost $40,000+. Faith has been working very hard to save up but her disease limits how much she is able to work. She does not have enough strength to work more than 25 hours a week while she is also attending school.

 

This is where you and I can make a difference!

 

Whether you are able to give $1 or $1,000, all donations help! Every dollar raised through this fundraiser is tax-deductible and will be used to help Faith fulfill her dreams of purchasing a van SHE can drive. All donations will be given directly to the van dealership which Faith purchases her new van. The fundraiser has been extended until we reach her goal. HELP FAITH REACH HER GOAL!!!
