Message from Faith's Rescuer and Loving Caregiver:
"It is with a broken heart, but not a broken spirit, that I have bad news regarding my beautiful Arabian rescued Mare, Faith. The vet came today because she started exhibiting stiff front legs directly after her hoof trimming. She had not been as exuberant running to the fence in the 90+ degree heat the past few weeks.
The bottom line is she is on strict stall rest (may be 1-2 months). I need to ice her front hooves as often as possible, give her daily medicine called Bute, change her diet to low sugar, no starch, feed her peanut alfalfa hay compared to what she is currently eating called Timothy. She is going to need diagnostic testing, X-rays, cloud boots for 2 front feet, ACTH insulin test, considering mass removal, which is behind her front right foot that developed out of nowhere.
I am a disabled individual now living paycheck to paycheck. I was making some money giving lessons on Faith. My vet is Dr. Eileen Gesoff, a 27-year Equine Veterinarian, is one of the best. Prayers definitely help. Thank you for any help, prayers, or good words you can extend to my baby girl."
