Help family after car crashed into home
Donation protected
On Friday December 10th, a young child crashed into our home, and right into my children's bedrooms and living room. My youngest son has a concussion and my family is still suffering from injuries and trauma. Thankfully the crash didn’t end in tragedy. On the day of the accident, EMS checked on the person who crashed into our home and took her to the hospital and only ask my children how they felt despite my son telling the firefighters that he hit a wall . Our home video camera that was pointed at my son's bedroom shows the moment when the incident happened and shows my six year old son being flung across the room and into his bedroom wall. An IMPD police report didn’t include any members of my family at all and left some to believe that we were not home when the car crashed into our house, causing the ceiling to collapse and crumble. The property management team hasn’t been that responsive. Our renters' insurance will only allow us to claim a certain amount of items, which is less than what we lost, and it will take up to 30days to know if we will be receiving support from the insurance company. We are currently paying for the hotel cost out of pocket until our home is fixed.
My family has experienced so much trauma since this happened and has PTSD from the incident. If you can give anything, please do, it's greatly appreciated.
Thank you
