Help Caregiver Keep Family From Homelessness

Hi, my name is Wendy and I am fundraising for myself and my mother, Edythe. We live in San Marcos, TX. I have always been a pretty self-sufficient person and this is taking everything I have to come forward and ask for help but our situation is dire. Back in November I had to make a choice. I had just gotten a really good job in New Orleans and was trying to settle in there when my mother had a stroke at the age of 66, so we never saw it coming.
It became apparent after she was in a skilled nursing home that she wasn't going to be able to live on her own upon her discharge. I had to make a choice and I chose to care for her. It has been so far one of the most rewarding, challenging, and life-changing things I've ever done. I had just gotten approved to start receiving compensation for taking care of her but then her Medicaid was cut off due to her not reapplying in time. I was trying to learn her deadlines, doctors, exercises, therapies, well you get the picture and to simply put it, I wasn't aware of the recertification time. It was quite a lot especially for someone who wasn't prepared or used to really caring for anyone but herself for the most part.
I became behind on my bills very quickly after using up all my savings so now I've already been evicted but can't afford to find anywhere to go with her. We are faced with homelessness which is something I never thought I would ever experience. My mother receives disability and as it is enough to pay rent, it's not enough to make a move. I'm in the process of getting everything back regarding her Medicaid so I'm going to be fully capable of being able to pay the bills in the future. We just don't have enough to be able to get out of our current situation which we have until Friday to do.
Our whole world has been turned upside down and it takes everything I have not to fall apart because the uncertainty of our future. The thought of my mother and my children, when they visit, not having anywhere to go is too much for me to bear, especially when my mom can't even get out of a bed, so I had to swallow my pride and I come to you now and ask for your help. It is so incredibly hard to be in the position I am. Normally I would just put in more hours at work or get a second job but I feel helpless because I can't even take on a delivery job at the moment because I have nobody to care for her while I'm gone. I am eternally grateful for anything that you are able to give. My mother is not aware of our current situation. When asked, she is very adamant she does not want to be in a nursing home nor at the moment could she afford it so I know if she was aware, she would be grateful as well.
