Help family lay Alex to rest
I am Alex's cousin, and am writing this on behalf of my Aunt Michelle Hensey and family. On Monday June 28, 2021, what was supposed to be like any other day, turned to any mom's worst nightmare she had called her son to see where he was but instead of him picking up it was the police asking her to describe her son's tattoos saying he had just been the victim of a homicide. Alex was supposed to meet someone but was instead set up, that meet up cost Alex his life. Anyone that knew Alex can tell you he had an infectious smile that would fill the whole room. He was loved by so many. Alex's friends and family meant everything to him. Alex has always lived by his own rules and there was no telling him what he could or could not do. You could say he rode in the fast lane and never slowed down until he had to. Alex had recently been through some bumps in the road but was getting his life back on track for his 1 year old daughter, trying to be the best dad he could be! We are asking for help in giving Alex the tribute and send off he deserves. He was and still is so important to so many people and we want to be able to give as many family and friends some sort of closure in saying goodbye. We also want to be able to make sure his older brother Jonathan who is incarcerated at this time will be able to attend his little brother's funeral whom he has not seen since he was incarcerated 9 years ago this will also help cover the traveling and lodging expenses for him to be able to attend. He was an incredible friend, brother, son, and dad. Alex will be greatly missed. In the anguish of our loss, I forgot to be specific on how the funds will be disbursed. They will go to funeral expensed, to the correctional facility to cover their expenses of transporting Jonathan to funeral and back, and to a trust fund for Alexzander's daughter Amara. Again any help to meet these expenses will be extremely appreciated. Thank you.
