Help Family Make their Trailer Livable
Donation protected
Pictured above is Eloise, she’s two years old and just moved with her single, pregnant mother to Massillon, Ohio to move into their new home. Eloise’s mother, Lena, has been married for the past two years and has had her and her children’s lives completely disrupted and destroyed by the one man who promised to love and protect them. Now in the process of leaving her abusive and neglectful husband and living off of what little money her husband is willing to give them, Lena can no longer afford her current home and has had no choice but to purchase the cheapest trailer home that she could find. This trailer is much worse than we expected: it’s full of mold, leaking walls and roof, wooden subfloor that’s rotted and sunken, ant infestation, etc. Lena, her friends including myself, and her family are doing the best we can to fix it up. She must move in with Eloise and their two pets by Monday, October 30th, and we are nowhere close to finishing. We are just women in our 20’s with little to no experience in construction and we have very minimal budget. It’s easy to brush off our problem by saying “she should have never gotten with that loser husband,” or by giving us your thoughts and prayers, but neither of those help the situation we are in now. We need professional help to rebuild this trailer into a home. Eloise has lived in 5 homes, soon to be 6, across Northeast Ohio in her two years of life. Please help this little girl and her soon-to-be little brother get a stable, livable home.
