Help family of 12 during extended unemployment and pivot.

My wife Jamie and I have 10 kids and we have always provided for them and paid our bills. I have been out of work for 13 months, foreclosed on, two cars repossessed, and now we sent our oldest three to college today but have less than half our rent and nothing for our car. Our utilities are also about to be disconnected. For some reason, TX will not give us food stamps so most of my wife's paycheck went to feeding the 10 kids while the older kids were home from college.

I worked as a technical recruiter in Seattle, Phoenix, and remotely for a total of 19 years for 3 companies and was successful in every role and never had a probation of any kind. I have applied to over 300 recruiting jobs on LinkedIn and the same or more amount of jobs on Indeed in the San Antonio area. I have had interviews and been rejected for recruiting roles in Construction, Federal, Light Industrial, Tech, Legal, and Education. I also applied to entry-level roles and got rejected for entry-level roles in warehouses, grocery stores, and hotels. I have to match with my wife's schedule since we have 7 kids still at home and two of them are not school age.

After this much rejection, I am giving up on recruiting and since my college transcript to UTSA to get a teaching certificate to become a high school teacher. We just need enough money to survive a few more months so we can reapply for TX benefits and Jamie can get a 2nd job while I get my teaching certificate. Our only option if we get evicted would cost more money and getting jobs and working would be a lot harder without cellphones and our last car. I have never done this and Jamie would be mortified to know I am doing this but we are at a dead end and have no options.
