Help Family of Fallen Firefighter Ian Strickler

Hello, my name is John Wright. I’m President of the Frederick County, Virginia Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 4145. On Wednesday, July 5th, 2023 Frederick County Recruit Fire Fighter Ian T. Strickler suffered a sudden medical event and later passed away at the Winchester Medical Center. Brother Strickler’s wife and family have entrusted us with raising money that will be utilized to pay any and all funeral related and medical expenses not covered by insurance. All funds will be presented to the family by myself, as President of Frederick County Professional Fire Fighters IAFF Local 4145, in the form of a cashiers check. If there are any remaining funds, these funds in their entirety will be given to Brother Strickler’s wife. He spent all of his time caring for the community and his family. Prior to joining the Frederick County Fire & Rescue Department he was a police officer with the MGH Police Department in Boston, Massachusetts. Now we have the opportunity to give back to him. His family needs help covering funeral arrangements and the immediate financial challenges an untimely death poses. I ask that we all come together to support Brother Strickler’s family. He has changed so many lives during his time on earth.
