Help family of Jeff Sales, Covid nurse & veteran

Donation protected
It’s with a shattered heart I write these words about my beloved brother-in-law Jeffrey Sales. Words cannot express what an amazing husband, father, brother, son, nurse, and veteran he was.

Jeff was one of the most giving people I know and started young by serving in the military. He was so proud to be a veteran. Then he went on to a decades-long nursing career because he wanted to continue serving people. He’s been a Covid nurse throughout the pandemic. Unfortunately, Friday, Jan. 21st another nurse commented that he didn’t look great, he got tested, although fully vaccinated he tested positive for Covid and went into heart failure (more below). Everything happened quickly, but even to the end, Jeff thought about his family whom he loved so much. He was the best dad and husband.

With the loss of Jeff so young just 47-years-old, he leaves behind a wife, and four beloved children, two still young. We are all wondering what we can do to help, so I wanted to start here.

Chanda, his wife now has mounting medical bills, a funeral to plan, travel for her family to get back to Utah where they are from, among all the other bills to pay. Jeff was their sole income, as Chanda was a stay-at-home mother to their children.

Jeff and Chanda celebrated their 25th-anniversary last year. They were each other’s soulmates and knew that from the day they met each other.

Right after they got married Jeff was called to serve in South Korea as a medic in the army. Some circumstances of his time there led Jeff to have open heart surgery and a metal valve placed at only 22-years-old. But that didn’t stop him from his dream of being a nurse. He worked at Rocky Mountain Care, Lakeview Medical Hospital in Bountiful, then Blake Medical Center in Florida.

These last few years have been very difficult as Jeff has worked in the Covid unit trying to help as many people as he could. He worked overnights and many extra shifts because of the need.

He, unfortunately, got the virus himself, and with his heart condition, his body just couldn’t fight.

I hope we can help his family in honor of Jeff who would give everything to his country, and he literally gave his life trying to save others.

I know it would mean the world to him to know his family is okay.
