Help Family Recover After Devastating Fire
Tralvis and La Shannon Edmond and their children have been devastated by a tragic fire that destroyed their home and 3 others in Gary, Indiana.
This home in Gary was a fresh start for the newlywed couple, who were working tirelessly but joyously to restore and refurbish the home for their family. Tralvis had spent the past year reconstructing and rebuilding not only the aesthetics of the interior, but the foundational, exterior elements of the home as well. Having completely remodeled the home's interior, Tralvis dug and installed new sewer lines and was about to begin work rebuilding the porch and restructuring the roof when this tragedy occurred.
The blood, sweat, and tears that Tralvis and La Shannon put into the home were evidenced by the joy and pride they took in sharing their remodeling successes and adventures with their friends and families. It is that joy that this tragedy has stolen from them - in addition to the roof over their heads and almost all of their worldly possessions. Their story is made more devastating by the fact that they do not have insurance to help compensate them for their losses. Tralvis was in the midst of getting the home insured, working on a few final projects the insurance company required before they would agree to insure, when the fire struck.
Without insurance, Tralvis and La Shannon have lost all that they have been working so hard to build. Your donations will allow this family to purchase the basic necessities that they lost (food, clothing, temporary shelter) as well as build them a nest egg for a new home to enjoy and make their own. Please help this young, loving, adventurous couple start again by contributing to this Go Fund Me page. Any little bit helps. Let's band together to get the Edmond's a new home!
