Help family support Mylenda

Donation protected
Mylenda's family is working hard to support her while they have traveled to be near her and care for her during her hospitalization. They need our help for food, supplies, and room and board while they pull in strong together.

We are sharing Mylenda's story today from her sister Paula Jean Swearengin. It's never easy for strong families to ask for help. If anyone can give even a little to help this family through this time, it'd be deeply appreciated. We've set a goal of $1500  to help them recover expenses. Thank you and please read their story below.

"My little sister was born with a birth defect. She was born with a cyst the size of a softball at the base of her brain. She has had several surgeries throughout her life. Despite her disabilities, she has always done well for her 41 years on this earth.

We found out yesterday she has an infection. She was rushed into emergency surgery. They had to do shunt replacements and she is battling the infection in her brain. She is one of the strongest women that I know. As we have our internal fights in this movement she is checking on family members while she had a new hole drilled in her skull.

Her condition was probably caused by polluted water that we drank when we were little. She is not part of this movement. She is just trying to survive. She embraces and checks on the people she loves even when she is suffering more than most.

We all need to take a step back and be more like my sister..
