Help Farmer Ty Secure a Permanent Farm!

Donation protected
Hello! Farmer Ty with Keep It Real Vegetables here. We have been growing vegetables in the Salt Lake valley for the past thirteen years. During that time we have turned an extremely DIY bootstrap operation into a successful urban farming business, growing vegetables in the yards of generous landowners and helping to feed high quality nutritious produce to our community.
During this time we have run a very lean operation, using the living room in my rental home to house our farm HQ with three refrigerators, many coolers, innumerable ice packs, and multiple restaurant racks of grow lights to start seedlings that make my small house glow like a 7-11 when you drive by at night.
We have never asked the public for money, but right now we have a once in a lifetime opportunity to secure a permanent farm location in Layton on the site of a former 100 acre mixed vegetable farm, complete with all the infrastructure (and housing) that we have never had, and have only dreamed of.
If we can make this happen, we will effectively expand our growing area from 1.25 acres in seven different locations to 2 full acres plus greenhouse, storage/packing facilities, infrastructure, and permanent housing, all in one location. This will be an immeasurable upgrade that will ensure that Keep It Real Vegetables will be able to thrive and continue providing all the amazing garlic, rainbow carrots, salad mix, and all the other things you love and expect from us well into the future.
Your donation to this campaign will help us secure the funds we need to purchase the on-site farm house and have the resources necessary to transition from our current dispersed operation to a centralized permanent farm home.
If you have enjoyed our vegetables and appreciate our contribution to the environmental, social and nutritional landscape of the Salt Lake valley food community, please consider donating to this fundraiser so that we can continue providing you with healthy and delicious food indefinitely.
Please feel free to share this with your friends, family, and anyone who you think might be able to help.
We are beyond excited about this opportunity, and optimistic that we are on the doorstep of a major advancement for our farm and our future as small scale urban farmers.
