Help Fatima’s Family To Evacuate From Gaza
Donation protected
Hi, I am Fatima Hamad, a Palestinian from northern Gaza. We used to live an ordinary life—a family consisting of a father, a mother, and four children. Like any other family, we dreamed of giving our children a life full of safety and happiness. But the war came and gradually took everything from us.
From the beginning, we could hear the shelling getting closer and closer until we were forced to flee for the first time. We left everything behind, taking only our children, running into the unknown, trying to find a safe place for them. This was the first time we started from scratch, but it wasn’t the last. We were displaced dozens of times, and every time, we left behind what little we had managed to gather. Every time we built a simple life, the bombing would destroy it right in front of our eyes.
Now, we live and move daily from one tent to another, from one street to another, here in northern Gaza. We didn’t flee to the south because there is no safety anywhere, but sadly, famine has spread among the children and elderly here. We no longer have anything to fill our hunger, not even animal feed, and now we can't even find that.
The pain wasn’t just in losing our home and money, but in every moment we watched our children endure this suffering.
Life has become harder than we ever imagined. Everything we had is gone, and all that remains is hope. We’ve been trying to find any way to help ourselves and others. We started reaching out to charities, seeking partnerships to do some charitable work. We wanted to be part of providing assistance, not just for our family but for all the children and women who suffer as we do. The idea was to collect donations, provide food, and give something small to those who have nothing.
But despite all those efforts, we knew the road was long. Every day we talk about tomorrow, about the day this war will end, about the day we will return to the home that no longer exists. We dream of giving our children a normal life, far from the sounds of bombs and constant fear.
Our children are the ones who give us strength. We look into their faces and see innocence that doesn’t deserve this pain. We hold them every night and pray to God to protect them, to keep them alive, to let them see a better day. That is all we hope for now: for them to stay alive and for their smiles to remain, despite everything we are going through.
So please help us achieve our goal, as we urgently need to evacuate and escape the suffering we endure daily in Gaza.
