Help Fatty Boys medical bills

Aloha,
My name is Sandie and this is our Fatty Boy. Fatty Boy is an older boy with plenty of life!! He enjoys living life outside. On June 26th, that was all taken from him in minutes. Our neighbor was having a party and there was a friend at their house that had a dog that wasnt tied up. The dog ran to our house where Fatty was basking in the last of the sun before it went down. I heard a noise and saw the dog run off. I didnt know what happened until Fatty Boy came out from behind the washer. He was dragging the back half of his body and had 2 large punctures on the side of his body. We brought him to the vet and they said the dog punctured his intestines and it was on the outside and he would need to have surgery to survive. After numerous blood tests and fluids to make sure he and his kidneys were strong enough to have surgery, surgery was scheduled the following week. Dr.Bryce and his team performed the surgery and Fatty boy remained under the care at the vet for several weeks in rehab. He finally came home 2 weeks ago and he has proven despite his age and his injuries, he has the will to survive. He tries to walk but it is difficult as he has sustained some nerve and muscle damage. He cannot get into to litter box even though he wants to, so he uses kitty diapers. After being an outside cat all his life, he doesnt understand whats happening to him and he will sit by the screen door and cry. It can be heartbreaking but we are glad he is alive and with us, for it could have been far worse. His prognosis is good, it will just take time. He is a fighter and as long as he keeps fighting to survive, we will not lose hope!!
Dr.Bryce and the team at Kapaa Animal clinic was amazing. They understood the situation and I'm sure the bill would have been alot more. The dog owner did pay $1300 to the vet, which was great but that wasn't even half of the bill and now we are stuck will the rest plus everything he needs to sustain him daily.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
from the Ishii family and Fatty Boy the cat
