Help Feed Families in Ukraine

Hi there! I recently had the great privilege of meeting and working with Viktoriia Talashkevych who is a social entrepreneur and journalist living in Ukraine. She is involved in many different initiatives to help support those who are affected by the horrendous war being waged in her country. During this holiday season, we are hoping to raise money for a small, but mighty volunteer community, "Dobromyr" which is in the center of Ukraine where a lot of the fighting is happening.

Every month they make 6,000-6,500 packages of dry soups for those who are suffering due to lack of electricity, gas or even time because they live on the bombed territories or busy serving in the military. Every month "Dobromyr" looks to generous donors to help purchase the ingredients for the soups: dry vegetables (carrots, cabbage, potatoes & onions), salt, cereals and packaging and labels. Each dry package of soup can feed 7-8 people and allows them to cook it over an open fire. A package for one family costs around 1$, so every donation counts!

As we get ready to celebrate the holidays in the warmth of our homes, surrounded by those we love, let us not forget that many Ukrainians are struggling in bitter, bitter cold, with the bare minimum to survive and yet, they gather and support each other with the most radiant smiles and resilient spirits.

Due to the tricky banking situation in Ukraine, there is no easy way to send these funds directly to the organization which is why I will be collecting them and will personally transfer the funds to Vika.
