URGENT HELP NEEDED PLEASE! CHILDREN NEED FOOD.

While it is heartbreaking to see homelessness and poverty on our own US soil... in 2006, I was first in South Africa on a humanitarian mission and had my eyes an heart opened to a level of poverty that previously I had only witnessed on TV.
Children, child headed households (a term I had never heard) or single parent families, orphaned by HIV/AIDS pandemic or the ravages of alcohol abuse, were living in townships in tin shacks with dirt floors swept to the point of there being a glowing sheen on the dirt... or in small houses, often 10 children in one unit, headed by a 15 or 16 year old. All brought together because their families had died of HIV/AIDS. It was devastating.
At the same time, these beautiful beings would gladly share their last 1/4 loaf of bread and share stories of hope for a better tomorrow. THAT is when I FELL IN LOVE with South Africa.
I had the blessing of being introduced to the UMBUYISA SCHOOL OF ARTS AND CULTURE (henceforth referred to as UMBUYISA)and some incredible children at that time and was AMAZED at the talent and hope within these little, beautiful beings.

With the onslaught of Covid-19, they are going without food and resources to put food on their table. I myself, have donated and it brought me such joy to know that I DIRECTLY helped to feed many children in need for a week.
I am hoping with your help, we can do more. Won't you please chip in whatever you can so we can help uplift some wonderful children whose lives are already harder than they need to be?
Anything you can give, helps.... and money goes FAR there. I will be sure the money gets straight to them and can share pics of the help your contributions give. These are pics of just a few of the kids I was able to help when they got their bags of food from this bounty I personally contributed.

Before you place your next Amazon order, won't you please join me in putting food on the table of a child who is hungry? I promise, it will make you feel better than any purchase ever could.

With love & sincere gratitude for anything you can do,
Christine, Tshepo and the kids of UMBUYISA
