Help (Ferocious)Katie Get Back on the Road

Hey everyone, my name’s Katie(you might know me as Ferocious Katie online), and I hate that it's come to this, but I’m reaching out with an urgent mutual aid request:
As a disabled single mom, reliable transportation is more than a convenience or luxury — it’s a lifeline. Between getting my kids to school, my countless doctor’s appointments, and fulfilling my custody arrangement, my car is an essential component of our daily lives. Unfortunately, it recently broke down, and the repairs are far beyond what I can afford on my own.
I was quoted $3,600 to cover the necessary repairs, but the impact of this goes beyond that. I’ve had to rely on Ubers just to keep our lives on track, and the costs are adding up quickly.
I’m setting the goal at $5,000 to cover the repairs and give us a buffer for extra expenses that come with not having a working vehicle like Ubers or a temporary car rental that my insurance doesn't cover while the car is in the shop.
I HATE being in this position where I need to ask for help like this (especially when I know so many others are also struggling), but I know I’m not alone, so I'm going to put my ego aside and allow folks to help me if they are able.
If you can pitch in or share this campaign, it would mean everything to us!
Your support would help ensure my kids have a safe, stable way to get where they need to go, and that I can keep up with my ongoing medical appointments/treatments/daily responsibilities. As anyone who also struggles with chronic pain and illness knows — maintaining our health on its own is a full-time job.
Thank you so much for considering helping us get back on the road.
