Help Field Family be with their new son!

Hello, my name is Cecilia Wichmann and I am a personal friend of the Field Family. I met them when I inquired about boarding my three horses at their property. I am also a Real Estate Agent with both Chad & Misti.
As most of you know they began their adoption journey back in 2018 as they could not have any more children due to Misti’s breast cancer diagnosis. But both of them wanted wanted a son. They went through an agency and adopted their son Noah whose birthday is today when he turns 5 years old.
Noah was born with a plethora of drugs in his system and has overcome his NAS status.
The same birth mom reached out to them not even a year later and asked if they wanted to adopt the baby she now was pregnant with. With Chad and Misti’s two biological daughters being older they didn’t want Noah to grow up alone so they adopted Sophia.
If you know this family you know these two kiddos are their pride and joy and mean the world to them. These two kids have grown leaps and bounds and today they just thrive.

Fast forward to May 2023, the same birth mom reached out to Misti that once again she was pregnant. Misti, wanting to keep the kids together agreed to adopt this one. She agreed to it with terms that the birth mom would tie her tubes as this was her 14th child.
While Chad and Misti knew more than likely this child would come into the world the same as the other two but had hope he would be better. Liam Andrew was born on Wednesday, September 13th at 9:40 a.m. "6'7 ounces and with a very strong cry" as Misti & Chad wrote on their Facebook. Sadly, but as anticipated little Liam tested positive for three different illicit drugs.
They started him on a very small amount of Morphine and to date they have already upped the dose three times and have moved him into the NICU. They found out yesterday that his weight has dropped well under 6 pounds. The doctors placed a feeding into him last night to help him with his feeding to help his weight gain.

At this point, the Fields are unsure of how long they will be required to stay in San Antonio. Misti will not leave and leave her son to come out of this on his own. They have Chad’s retirement pay from the Military, which takes care of all their regular household bills. Normally Misti has Real Estate sales but she isn’t able to make the regular sales being 5 hours away from home. They also have added expenses at home having someone staying with Noah & Sophia to keep them on their same schedules.

I wanted to start a GoFundMe account to help them with their day-to-day expenses in San Antonio with the Air BNB expenses and food expenditures.
The Fields are always the first to jump in and help others during their time of need and I hope we can now show them our support. Even $5 would make a huge difference to help them during this time. If anything is raised beyond what their needs are I am sure they would put it into a fund for any of the three children’s future.

Thank you so much and if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out.
