Help Fight Dementia: Donate in Sandy's Name
Tax deductible
Sandy Wilcott was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. About 7 years ago, Sandy started showing early signs of dementia.
Some early signs of dementia that individuals may experience include keeping daily notes about all of the things they want to remember, repeating themselves, struggling with loss of words, and misplacing items. But as the years pass, and the disease worsens, symptoms can begin to significantly impact one's life and the onset can be rapid. More severe symptoms can include memory loss (short and long term), paranoia, delusions/hallucinations, and losing the ability to recognize loved ones. Dementia is a disease that not only negatively effects the individual with the diagnosis, but everyone in their life as well.
As of 11/23/24, this disease ultimately played a large role in Sandy's untimely passing. In an effort to combat this terrible disease, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association so that research can be continued in hopes to one day find a cure.
Donations made through this Go Fund Me will be directly routed to Wisconsin's local branch of the Alzheimer's Association.
