Hi my name is Joanne I am the fund raiser for this family. I am a very close long time family friend to Robert and Sabine I am reaching out to everyone with sadness in my heart how the family had to put up with the pain most especially Robert and the kids sabine left behind I have read the recent article about the inquest and from the article I could tell that justice is being robbed from this family regarding the circumstances regarding Sabine’s demise so I reached out to Robert to know how is faring and coping with other the recent news I have discovered he want to take this further legally as he is not pleased with the outcome of the inquest but would cost him a lot facing the institution in the tribunal and also he is also in need to set a brighter future for the kids Sabine had left behind so I am taking it upon my self to create this gofund me to help with the fight for justice and to help the kids have a stable future. Please join me to support his family with what ever you can and may the good lord bless you as you do..

My name is Robert Lawani and I am 39 years old. Two and half years ago me and my soul-mate, Sabine, were celebrating with news that we were expecting our third child, a daughter.
Sabine was already mum to a son, Paul, and we shared two children together, a daughter, Princiar, and a son, Princeton. We knew the arrival of another little girl would complete our family.
But in February 2021, seven months into the pregnancy, Sabine was taken to hospital complaining of pain and feeling unwell. I was told she’d need an emergency C-section to deliver our baby early.
What followed was the stuff of nightmares. Both Sabine and our baby daughter died in surgery. Aged just 28, the mother of my children, and the love of my life, was gone.
An Inquest two weeks ago found there were ‘shortcomings’ in Sabine’s treatment and that she had died from internal bleeding. But I have so many questions which have not been answered.
I’ve had to adjust to life as a single dad. Before I lost my partner, I worked as a hairdresser and a singer. But I’ve had to give up work and raise the children, who are aged 7 and 4, whilst coping with my grief and anger. Anything you can spare would be gratefully received. I am struggling and I want to give my children the best life I can.
I won’t rest until justice is served as I am not happy with the decision of the coroner at the inquest after admitting the short comings of the hospital but yet concluded that her death was natural. I want to take the case to the tribunal and even further till our voice is heard.. I won’t stop till I get justice for Sabine and my baby girl.
