Help us fight for Sadie

Many people have asked us "how can we help?" Therefore, we decided to start this GoFundMe as a way for people to help support and learn updates on our Sadie girl.

Sadie, our beloved 3 year old golden retriever, was diagnosed with a deadly and aggressive form of bone cancer known as Osteosarcoma on August 1st 2023 and we are absolutely devastated. Sadie began limping in July. Her limp came and went, ultimately we had her checked and scans were taken last week. We figured she had a torn ligament. Never in a million years did we expect this. We always thought Sadie would grow old with us.

Within 3-4 months Sadie will be gone if we do nothing. We know we have to fight for her life. We've connected and met with several doctors and radiologists, discussed our options, and following our Oncologist's advice in an attempt to save her (or give her any sort of decent time left here on earth with us), we will be moving forward with the amputation of her leg, along with 15 weeks of chemotherapy. In addition, we will pursue the Yale vaccine, offered in 10 US states, the closest to us being PA and OH.

Next week begins our journey. In addition to the emotional aspect of our new reality, Sadie's leg amputation and rehab, chemotherapy, and vaccines alone will cost well over $10,000, not to mention all we've spent to date leading to this diagnosis, and her many follow up appointments, travel, and the various gear needed to support our soon to be Tripod.

Sadie needs all the hope and prayers she can get during this time. Any amount you can give in support of Sadie's unforeseen journey will be so appreciated.
