Help Fight SMA And Other Related Neuromuscular Diseases

Hello, my alias is Lex and I have a goal with this GoFundMe. That goal is to bring awareness and funds to SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and other related neuromuscular diseases. My partner is a survivor of SMA, and it wasn't until I started dating her that I realized how much I had been taking many everyday things for granted. It pains me to see my partner struggle to balance on her own while I can walk effortlessly, or to see her not be able to lift her legs as much as I can. There are so many things I can do that's a struggle for her and I've never been aware of how fortunate I am.

I later learned that neuromuscular diseases are progressive, meaning they get worsen over time rather than improve. After gaining this understanding, I decided to make it my mission to help eradicate these diseases. I am dedicated to putting an end to all neuromuscular diseases and disorders, and I want to support those less fortunate. This GoFundMe is connected to a non-profit called "Cure SMA" but I also have a link-tree Here that links to other non-profits such as "MDA" (Muscular Dystrophy Association) and "SMA Foundation". All of the donations these organizations receive go into treatment and research into SMA and other neuromuscular diseases.

I will not stop until my voice is heard and I change the way neuromuscular diseases are perceived and treated. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much
