Help Fight the Battle with Jackie!

If you have ever had the honor of meeting this woman, you know what a remarkable, loving, caring, fun-loving, and kind individual she is. She has always given selflessly to others and has been there to help in any way she could, even if it was a shoulder to cry on or a hug. Jackie has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma.

(Multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Healthy plasma cells help you fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs. In multiple myeloma, cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells)

Leading up to the diagnosis, Jackie, for months has been in and out of doctors' and specialists' offices, having multiple tests run, emergency room visits, and even hospital stays. This has been exhausting, painful, and tiring on her, Not to mention the number of bills that have been piling up and the stress that it puts on you wondering if you will be able to pay them.

This is just the beginning of her journey, there is a huge battle ahead. She and her husband will make many trips to specialists that are hours away, she will have long hospital stays, she will have new expensive medications, Expensive Treatments such as chemo and radiation, and all sorts of testing going on. The last thing we want her and her family to worry about is where and if they will have enough money to pay a bill, money for the expensive medication, enough money for gas to get there, enough money for a hotel so they don't have to drive back because they are too exhausted or have to be back early in the morning. There are a lot of costs that will come up during this battle, and money is not something they should be worried about.
