Help Fijian Flash Flood Victims on the Coral Coast
Donation protected
Over the last several days, multiple villages on the Coral Coast of Fiji have been flooded destroying homes, schools, farms, and water systems. These communities are currently without electricity, clean water, and functioning schools. These floods have also destroyed farm lands causing crops to die and rot leaving the communities without food to eat as well as a source of income. Fiji Beachouse has been providing water, food, and other necessities to there communities and would love your help to be able to provide more. Staff at Beachouse have been impacted by these floods and we want to do everything we can to get our community back on its feet.
This devastation has greatly impacted two villages that are very close to Beachouse's heart, Vunaniu and Korovisilou and their surrounding settlements. Vunaniu's kindergarden and Korovisilou's primary and secondary school, Ratu Latianava College, were both drowned by a meter of water. This destroyed the school's materials and furniture as well as the teacher's quarters. Additionally, Korovisilou's Health Centre was also flooded leaving the surrounding area without adequate medical resources.
Your donations will go towards clean water, food, school materials, dry clothes, bedding, and other necessities to help those impacted by this once in a lifetime flood.
