Help find a Service dog for Christy
Donation protected
My loyal Service Dog Ely passed away 2 days after christmas 2018. She had an aggressive tumor that had spread too far for her 14 year old body to handle. About nine years ago I took a medicine which laid waste to my tendons after which I found out that I have Elhers Danlos Syndrome and one of the side effects that surfaced was Autonomic Dysfunction, Ely's been helping me since. A service dog to alert me to self care is most important because my blood sugar and blood pressure drops randomly. As of yet technology has yet to become more affordable to manage it. I have found a likely candidate but she's located in Minnesota and I would have to fly there and then if all goes well drive back with my new trainee and enroll us in classes. If you can spare $20 to help I would greatly appreciate it. Life without a service dog means I cannot go hiking by myself, go to the movies and many other things that Ely helped me negotiate my illness and retain my freedom.
