Help Find Leia the Mini (Jedi) Labradoodle

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ruby Fremon and I am Leia's mom. Myself, Kevin Fremon (Leia's dad), and Luke (Leia's brother and littermate) are desperate to find Leia and/or uncover the truth about what really happened to her while she was in the care of our new dog sitter.

Your contributions will help our family with Leia's search investigation and legal fees associated with our search for Leia and/or uncovering the truth.

UPDATE: We have filed a lawsuit against the pet sitter and her sister and we're now even closer to preventing this from happening to other dog families.

IMPORTANT: These funds will NOT go towards the reward. We are funding the reward ourselves.

Any extra funds raised will be donated to TRAPRS. They are a 501(C)3 trapping, rescue, and pet recovery service that is completely run by volunteers. They have been helping us in our search and we are grateful for their support.

We were told that she was last seen on Sunday 6/26/22 around 3:30pm at her sitter's townhouse in Stoney Creek Cove, Lakeway TX 78734.

HERE'S A BRIEF TIMELINE:

The weekend of June 25 + 26 was the 3rd and 4th time we were using this sitter. She was a back-up dog sitter that we decided to use because our regular daycare (Taurus Academy) was full. We had done a meet and greet back in February when we first found and used her and our dogs met the sitter’s two dogs, a rescue boxer and boxer/pit mix with no issues. We were told by the sitter that she only takes 2 client dogs max.

On Saturday, June 25th (the 3rd time we ever used this dog sitter), Luke and Leia were dropped off at the sitter's home at 10am and picked up at 8am.

On Sunday, June 26th (the 4th time we used this sitter), Luke and Leia were dropped off at the dog sitter’s home at 8am, and had arranged to pick up both Luke and Leia at 8pm that evening after our outing that day.

We decided to come home early from our day outing and at 3:36pm, I text messaged the dog sitter that we would like to pick up Luke & Leia around 5pm that day.

In brief, the dog sitter texted back around 20-minutes later and said that Leia had escaped along with her sister’s dog (a black lab mix) about 15 mins before we had first texted.

We were currently about 45 mins away and driving faster and faster.

We arrived at 4:15pm and began our search. I searched by foot and Kevin by car. The dog sitter was searching by foot and we were told that her sister (who we had yet to meet) was searching by car. Leia is NOT the type of dog who runs away. She is twice trained and she listens very well. Something didn't add up. We searched for a few hours calling her name and could not locate her. NO ONE had spotted her or this other black dog which is very odd because it was the middle of the day and we were in a very populated residential area filled with dog lovers. The townhouse complex is located right beside a golf green that is always filled with people. No one spotted her.

After a few hours, I asked the sitter to walk me through what had happened. Here is the story that I received:
The sister's black lab mix (which we didn't know lived with the sitter) opened the back door and the back wrought iron gate and ran off. Apparently, this has happened a few times before. The door to the garage (which is converted into a doggy daycare) was also open so Leia also ran out--but her brother and littermate Luke, stayed behind, as did the other dogs. As soon as this happened, the sitter's sister who witnessed them 'escaping,' put on her shoes and ran after them. The sitter who was in the front taking her two dogs out to pee heard a commotion and ran to the back. She never saw the dogs run out, nor did she see which way they went. The sister told us which way they went.

We have yet to find anyone else who can confirm this story--only evidence to show otherwise.

We've been searching non-stop with the support of our local community and thousands of people worldwide, thanks to the help of social media--and yet we still have zero sightings of Leia.

On Friday, July 1, we used a dog tracking team to track Leia's scent, and they confirmed her scent was within the townhouse complex property, but not beyond the property lines. Leia never left the townhouse complex property, as they said.

SO WHAT REALLY HAPPENED TO LEIA?
Where is she? What took place in that townhouse between the hours of 8am and 4pm on Sunday, June 26th. 2022?

The truth is that dogs like Leia go missing while in the care of sitters, dog trainers, and boarding facilities. As we've found out, this has happened to many families around the U.S. However there are no laws in place to protect dog parents like us, therefore, we are working hard, day and night, to find Leia or uncover the truth about what really happened to her that day.

While we continue our search, we have been unable to continue running our businesses as usual (we're both entrepreneurs.) We're also investing a lot of time, energy, and resources into building a team of experts to support this search.

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN.
We need your help to continue our search and legal journey so we can help prevent this from happening to other dog owners.

100% of the funds raised will go towards Leia's search.

Your contributions will help our family with Leia's search investigation and legal fees associated with our search for Leia and/or uncovering the truth.
