Help Find Phoenix: Support Our Search

Phoenix is a male domestic shorthair tabby who went missing on February 9th, 2024, in Knoxville, TN. To be completely honest, he's my best friend - he was my shadow quite literally. He would follow me around the house, greet me at the door when I returned home, and always sleep with me whether I fell asleep in bed or on the couch. He was a rescue that may have very well rescued me, too.
A few months after he went missing, an organization I was employed full-time with went through a layoff, affecting all staff and drastically decreasing my monthly income.
During the last seven months (at the time this fundraiser was created), I have purchased live/humane animal traps, motion cameras, additional security cameras, and trail cams to help extend my search while asking the community to report cat sightings that may be him. Additionally, I printed over 1,000 flyers to hand out to residents in my neighborhood, nearby communities, and posted some with businesses to spread the word, featured Phoenix on PawBoost, and ran Facebook & Instagram ads through the PawBoost service, while continuing to print and hang flyer signs around the area. The most recent time I printed flyers for signs, I had them laminated to increase their longevity & durability. This decision helped tremendously; however, it is something that I don't see myself being able to do without additional assistance. Some folks around my area have been not so nice as they have removed Phoenix's signs multiple times, including some of the laminated ones, shortly after printing them, which has been an unexpected challenge. The weather has been difficult enough to combat, hence the laminated signs.
I have also created a website for folks in the community to visit which includes Phoenix's details, general missing location, photos to help identify him, as well as various contact methods. Visit FINDINGPHE.COM if you believe you may have seen Phoenix.
For full disclosure: I have a cash reward saved for Phoenix's return if someone has him and won't give him back without money being involved. If someone does have Phoenix and refuses the cash reward, OR if Phoenix comes home on his own, the funds I have saved will be donated to a local non-profit - the Humane Society of Tennessee Valley. I am also trying to save up additional money for Phoenix's vet visit to ensure he's healthy once he returns home.
I have created this fundraiser with the hope that I do not have to break into his reward money / the shelter's donation and can save additional funds to provide him with the care he needs. However, after the layoff, I am only employed part-time while I finish my degree, making this search more financially challenging.
Anything helps. Whether you donate whatever amount is feasible for you, share this fundraiser, his TikTok videos, his flyer with friends & family in the Knoxville, TN area, or a mixture of these options, it is greatly appreciated.
All funds received from this fundraiser will be used for Phoenix.
- Flyers/signs while we continue to search
- PawBoost updates (limited to once a month so that he's brought back up on people's social media feeds)
