Wanted to let everyone know that we were informed by the family that they believe it's best to have the donations raised here reallocated to a scholarship fund in Tate's name. It's been a rough past week but seeing the generosity and warmth on here has been incredible. We'll leave the gofundme open in hopes of future donations to an annual Tatum Morell Scholarship Fund. It's still very early but please know that the scholarship will be dedicated towards women in the Wood River Valley and Red Lodge areas of Montana just like Tate - strong, determined, and kind, with a never-ending passionate love for the outdoors.

Tate Morell (a very close and amazing friend in every way) was backpacking in Montana close to Red Lodge, before losing contact and declared missing. Over the last couple days, search and rescue teams have been scouring the area, finding her tent and campsite but unfortunately have not been able to locate her. She's at home in the outdoors loves to take on challenges, yet being smart in her actions. We know she's still there, we just need to find her and bring her home.

She's been a lifelong friend to us and we are holding on to her dearly, our biggest request is that you spread this and awareness to anyone you might know in the area if possible. Thats the most we can ask for and appreciate it so much. We also came to GoFundMe in hopes of raising money to rent (not buy) a top of the line drone used specifically for search and rescue operations.
Edit: We never thought we'd meet our original goal so quickly, thank you everyone! We've set our sights much higher in hopes of really making a meaningful contribution to Tate's family and the continued search efforts.

She's still out there and hanging on, it's just up to us to go find her. Thanks so much for your time and contribution.
