Help Finish Tiny House Before Alaskan Winter!

Hi everyone- My name is Aly, and I am trying to finish my tiny house. Now, you expect difficulties and roadblocks during any construction project, but I thought I was building within my means, making a house that's only 8x16 ft. Unfortunately, last fall we got the news that we were wrong about where the lot lines were, and the house is over the setbacks delineated in local code. I'm working on applying for a variance, but if I can't get it, it will cost as much as or more than I've spent so far to move the house so it complies. This is on top of continually rising prices for both materials and labor.

 

Funds raised on this platform would either go toward relocating the house or finishing the work, depending on whether or not the planning commission approves my variance. Any leftover funds would help me pay off my land. With your help, I will be able to finish my home, pay the folks helping me the wage they deserve, and live independently. In addition, I'll be able to stay in the town I love and contribute more fully to this vibrant community.
