Help support Finley's life-changing surgery

I'm raising funds for my 3-year-old free roam rabbit, Finley, whom I've had since he was 4 months old.

Anyone who knows me knows that my animals are my entire life. I am child free and consider them to be my children.

Finley was born with genetic dental disease, which has caused his teeth to overgrow rapidly and become brittle over time. He has had to have his teeth filed down, which is painful, expensive, and emotionally traumatic. The vet is more than satisfied with his diet and says it does not contribute to his issues.

On 9/17/24, I woke up to find Finley had broken 3 out of 6 of his front teeth (just from chewing). I brought him to the vet to find out that his disease is progressing, and the most humane thing I can do for him is to have all 6 teeth permanently extracted. Otherwise, they will keep growing back and then breaking, which is very painful and significantly raises his chances of infection.

I have kept up with Finley's needs regularly to date with his exotic vet at Hopkinton/Weare Animal Hospital in NH.

This surgery will prevent further issues and keep him from having a future full of painful procedures. The significance of receiving donations and being able to provide him this relief is completely invaluable to us.

I hate asking for help, as I do have a full-time job and pay all of my own expenses in my single-income household. But this was a very high and unexpected cost.

Pet insurance will not cover dental either, unfortunately.

I have been estimated between $1,800-2,300. He needs this surgery by January 2025.

I asked for a little bit extra than the vet bill so that I can buy more of the Emeraid Herbivore Sustain (critical care), as he goes through it quickly and it will be all he can eat for a few weeks.

He is so loving, always has to be at my side like a little shadow, he's such a mamas boy and has no shame in that!

He loves:

- Playing with baby toys & stuffed animals

- Grooming his girlfriend, Portabella (both are fixed)

- Looking out the window

- Treats

- Naps

- Enrichment

- Chasing the broom and vacuum

- Following mom everywhere

He hates:

- The car/stroller

- Being away from mom while mom is working (he blocks the door almost every morning and/or pulls on my pant leg)

- Having dental issues!
