Help Finn recover from contaminated water due to Helene

Donation protected
My name is Avery Paner, and as some of you may know, I have recently been impacted by Hurricane Helene. My car is completely totaled, and I have lost many of my valuables. I am fortunate to be alive and home safe. I have been featured on WCNC, CBS 17, and NBC News. There’s not a second in my day where I’m not trying to share my story in hopes of reaching out to others to let them know the impact Helene has had, not only on me but also on others in my community.

Due to the recent floodwaters, my service dog, Finn, has become severely ill. While toileting him, it’s believed that Finn came into contact with contaminated water. He is currently at the emergency vet in isolation and hospitalized. If his condition worsens, he may need to be transferred. There’s a possibility he has leptospirosis.

Finn has been one of the key factors in keeping me safe and healthy. As a medical alert service dog, he consistently watches over me. Finn's job is to help anticipate and prevent cardiac issues that happened to me daily. Now it’s my turn to return the favor. I’m asking for prayers and financial help to mitigate the damage Hurricane Helene has caused my family. Finn’s treatment continues to be costly, but his health and happiness are my top priority.

Please spread the word and watch the news for updates on our story. Thank you for all the love and support.
