HELP PHILLY FIREFIGHTER MIKE FURLOW
Donation protected
On the evening of August 5th, at around 8 pm, Philadelphia firefighter Mike Furlow was on his way home from his birthday celebration dinner with his son when he was intentionally run over by strangers on two different dirt bikes, who then fled the scene. He sustained several life threatening injuries, underwent emergency surgery, and received life saving care in the ICU. He is currently in the critical care unit at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital continuing to fight for his life.
Mike, never one to shy away from danger, has been unbelievably brave in the face of such senseless violence and potentially career ending injuries. He has been a Philadelphia firefighter for over 30 years, known by his fellow first responders as kind, quick to laugh, and eager to impart his many years of experience to new generations of firefighters. He is an incredibly valued member of our community here in Philly, and needs your help in order to continue to heal and, ideally, return to serving his community in some capacity.
100% of your financial donations will go toward covering cost of living expenses, as well as extended at-home rehabilitation not covered by insurance, to give Mike the best shot possible at a normal, active life.
