Help Firefighters who Lost their Homes
My name is Molly, I am a former USFS employee, my husband is a USFS Crew Superintendent (we have both lived and worked in Detroit) and we have many friends and family members that work or retired from the Forest Service. This fund is to support the wildland firefighters who work on the Willamette National Forest Santiam River Zone and lost their homes. While the Lionshead/Beachie Creek Fire was devastating the Santiam Canyon, at least five Forest Service fire fighters/employees (three of whom I personally know) lost their homes and belongings. Others are waiting to find out if their homes have survived. This was their home away from home. They are all working still. Please help support those who are working to fight these fires, even without homes! These funds will be used and dispersed evenly via Venmo or preferred method to help pay for basic needs while they get back on their feet.
Thank you for your support, anything helps, even just sharing. Thank you to Kaili for helping me get this going for our friends and Forest Service family.
