Help First: The Aftermath of Helene
Donation protected
Hey EOS family,
Western North Carolina really needs help, and I'm hoping many of you can step up.
Hurricane Helene crushed our community.
Interstates are decimated. Local businesses are obliterated. Lives are uprooted. Many of us still have no power, no cell service, no internet, no fuel, and most importantly, no water. The infrastructure has been devastated.
All local EOSIs - Charley White, Patrick O'Cain, Dean Russell, and myself - are safe. However, many around us are living in a dire reality - not able to afford diapers, fuel cars, or pay mortgages.
As a community, we have an opportunity to make a huge and positive impact.
People don't necessarily need bottles of water or a meal, although that's nice - they need dignity and the ability to meet their unique needs. They need money.
Me and many in my community know exactly which families need it most, and we have the ability to disseminate it quickly to where it will make the biggest impact.
If you have the means, please join me in this healing and rebuilding effort. We can't do it on our own.
I've already raised $17k and, with my local partners, have directly helped over 100 people. As an EOS community, I believe we can make a positive impact in the lives of thousands.
Make a donation, and I'll take care of the rest.
I will share the story of the impact we've made with the community in a couple of weeks.
With love and humility,
Matthew Abrams
