Help The Fischer Family Overcome Accident Aftermath

UPDATE:

First and foremost, Luke and Jessica continue to praise the Lord for His protection and provision, and are so grateful for the generous outpouring of support from friends, family, community, and even those who don’t know them but want to help.

Physically, they are making gradual progress each day. Luke has several weeks of recovery ahead. They still face some significant challenges, as Luke will not be able to work for about 2 months, until his sternum is completely healed. They also lost the only means of transportation for their family, which presents some logistical challenges.

Though there are a lot of questions that they don’t yet have answers to, they know that God is good, all the time. They are trusting Him and know that He’s got this.

They ask that as you pray for them you also pray for the family of the young woman who hit them. Their greatest desire is that God is glorified in all of this.

The Fischer family could use some help right now ❤️ Luke and Jess survived a fatal head on collision Friday night. The other driver crossed several lanes and hit them head on at a very high speed. We are so thankful that God saved their lives and allowed them to return to their 5 children that same night. Luke broke his sternum and is looking at 6-8 weeks of recovery. Jess broke her nose and some other parts of her face. They are badly banged up with other cuts, bruises, and sprains. But they are here with us, and we are so grateful. Their new suv that they just bought in November is totaled. Luke has 2 weeks of vacation time to use, and does not have short term or long term disability. As he is the only one who works in their family, the road ahead financially is uncertain since they do not know when he will be able to go back to work.

They need your prayers and love right now. For them, and their family. And prayers for the family of the other driver involved as well too.
