Help the Employees of Five Star!
Donation protected
Governor JB takes lead in unprecedented precaution for the safety of Illinois by barring both Restaurants and Bars from dine-in patrons. While necessary, small businesses and staff will undoubtedly take a big financial hit from this.
As you know, the employees of Five Star rely heavily on tips in order to afford rent, food, and other basic necessities. They have little to no opportunity to find work elsewhere at this time, and government aid is minimal and not immediate, certainly making it hard to make ends meet when you have a sudden loss of all income. Though we all desperately hope this will pass soon and we can get these folks working again, the reality is there is no saying how long it may be before we are able to serve you, and they are able to make a living.
We know it is tough out there for everyone right now, and we are not ignoring that all of us will be financially inconvenienced by this devastating pandemic. That said; we know firsthand from serving you that we have kind and generous patrons; so for any of you that are able to spare anything extra we are asking for your consideration. If you are in a place where you are able to give a few extra bucks, just know that a donation of any size would go a lot further than you think.
In times like this we are reminded of how important it is to stick together. Regardless of if you can or can't give - we want to thank you for being part of our family - and look forward to the next time we can see you back at our humble neighborhood joint!
