Help fix Adam Stickland’s Camper van

Hey, my name is Finley and I’m raising funds for my dad who is currently in kidney failure to repair his beloved camper van. The illness has taken away most of the things that make him happy and we want to help give him some hope before his transplant. My Dad (Adam) is the most selfless and caring person but I want to help give him a life to look forward to after his surgeries. He’s recently lost his driving license due to cataracts (he can reapply after surgery) and it’s meant he can no longer work to support his family. Adam has suffered from insulin resistant type 1 diabetes since a child which has caused him to have many other complications including loss of eye sight due to cataracts and retinopathy, high blood pressure, nerve damage and now most recently kidney failure. Putting up this go fund me is really important to me because I’ve seen the effect that the health problems have had on his mental health as a very proud man that can no longer provide for his family, it’s been hard enough getting him to let me put this post up. The money from this is to repair his currently broken camper van which is his pride and joy. Once he has had his cataract procedures and his transplant completed he will be ready to drive again meaning he can get away for weekends in the van to meet up with friends and spend time by the sea with his dogs. His van currently has a seized engine due to oil starvation meaning it needs a new engine. To get dads van back on the road would mean the world to both him and us as his family, driving down to cornwall is the one thing that clears his mind and allows him to relax and get away from the realities of life.

My dads convinced that no one needs to help him in the conditions everyone is living in currently but I believe we can prove him wrong. He’s worked hard all his life no matter what he’s been going through and is still attempting to work with limited eye site and in final stage of kidney failure getting a train to London everyday. Any help no matter how small would mean the world to us and him.
