Help fix Dylan’s heart ❤️
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Jim. We are trying to raise some funds for my son Dylan’s upcoming heart procedures.
Dylan has been experiencing intermittent episodes of rapid heart palpitations. The most recent episode had his heart racing at 180bpm. It’s scary for an otherwise healthy 16 year old to suddenly feel like the thing in his chest that’s pumping blood through this body is out of control and causing him pain.
The ER and pediatric cardiologist discovered after many tests that he has two leaky heart valves causing what they call vascular regurgitation. This means that every time his heart pumps some blood sneaks out through the in door and in through the outdoor. This is more commonly known as a heart murmur. On top of that, they believe the episodes of rapid palpitations are caused by some crossed wiring in his heart.
We need to take Dylan to Stanford, CA where experts have been holding conferences on his case. They will be looking into repairing or replacing those valves and trying to untangle whatever wiring it is that cause his sudden extreme palpitations.
As some of you might know our family has gone through multiple health issues this year, resulting in zero paid time off from work and no savings. With the holidays and unexpected expenses we need to raise enough money to help with airfare and accommodations for us to go as a family to California with him.
Grace and I know how lucky we are to have an amazing son like Dylan. His younger siblings, Jake and Eliza, love their big brother and look up to him as well. We all know Dylan is strong and resilient and will come through this.
Thank you for anything you can do to help.
