Help Flannery after Eaton Canyon Fire

Donation protected
Like so many others, my dear friend Flannery has lost nearly everything in her Altadena home in the recent fires.

After fearing her place was gone, on Thursday she heard from a neighbor that her cottage was still standing. But the relief was momentary. Over the days that followed, the reality has sunken in that her loss too is severe, and will take a significant amount of time to recover from.

Although her house did not burn down, the cottage she lives in will likely be red-tagged and uninhabitable after the fire. She is unable to access the location for the foreseeable future. On Thursday, friends went to the house to retrieve some items. Everything that was "saved" is smoke-damaged, and little is retrievable.

To make things worse, Flannery was out of town when the fire started. She left home thinking she would be able to return, without having a chance to pack an emergency bag like others who fled. This was a home Flannery worked hard to make for herself, it contained not just her belongings, but her art work, musical equipment, and irreplaceable sentimental items.

So many people we love need our help right now, and its hard to gauge even your own needs in the face of such great loss. We love Flannery so much - let's ease this burden together.

Anything you can donate helps. Funds will be used for relocating expenses and material losses.

Thank you, we love you Flan! - Esra
