Help Florence Taylor's Family After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
On January 29, 2025, our grandmother, Florence Taylor, was hit by a 2004 GMC SUV while attempting to walk across a residential street after parking her car. She did not survive the impact. She was in great health and on her way to her job as a CNA for a student with special needs, who required assistance getting ready for school each morning. This meant she arrived at work each weekday around 6:30 a.m.

Florence, known as Mamo to her grandchildren, took care of everyone in her life, whether that meant preparing meals, cakes, or sweet potato pies for them, inviting them to stay in her home whenever it was needed, or helping to raise us, her grandkids. She hosted graduation celebrations, birthday parties, and holidays at her home, welcoming absolutely anyone who wanted to spend time with her family. She helped teach us to drive, attended our sports activities, helped us get jobs... She tagged in anywhere she was needed to make sure that our family felt supported and like we could accomplish our goals.

She had the most sincere laugh and warmest hug. She loved the Raiders, playing the football game on every TV in her house when they were playing, so she wouldn't miss a moment. She was an avid member of her church for over 30 years and almost never missed a Sunday. She always forgave and welcomed people home, regardless of their mistakes. She believed in doing the right thing and spending quality time with the people you care about.

This loss was completely unexpected, and we could use some help with covering her funeral costs. Laying someone to rest is far more expensive than we imagined. And someone who brought so much light and love to her friends and family deserves a proper send-off.
Her funeral will be held in San Jose, California, on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Final payment is due to the funeral home one week prior. If you're able we would appreciate your help with affording the fees we'll need to cover to say goodbye...
Thank you. Your help means more than words can say.
