Your zoo needs you! Donate to Folly Farm

The gorgeous animals at Folly Farm can't be furloughed.
They still need feeding, they still need our dedicated keepers to care for them and their enclosures still need heating.
The Covid-19 pandemic is having a huge impact on tourism businesses across Wales, we're not alone in this. Our issue is we can't "hibernate" our business as we can't furlough our keeping staff and we can't reduce the costs required to provide the high level of animal welfare we pride ourselves on. But our income has dropped to next to nothing.
Our monthly ongoing costs, just in respect of caring for the animals are £56,000. Our income has dropped to almost zero.
Many of our loyal fans have been calling for us to set up a donation page but we've said from the beginning of lockdown that we don't feel comfortable with this and we worry about the charities that rely on donations all year round.
So, we've decided to use the amazing support we're receiving to see if we can also benefit others. We're asking you to donate the price of an adult entry ticket to Folly Farm (£17) or whatever you can afford. This will help our cashflow short term but longer term, when we're back open to the public, we can help our wonderful NHS workers by giving them a well deserved day out at Folly Farm.
We've been overwhelmed by your messages of support and please know this in itself is enough. We just feel if we're able to harness this support to bring some joy to our NHS workers, we should use it.
Thank you for your support.
I’m Zoe, I’m the Head of Marketing at Folly Farm, and I’ve organised this fundraiser on behalf of the company.
