Please help a World Trade Center First Responder

Hi, my name is Doug and I am in desperate need of some assistance!!

Why I am fundraising:

Hi, my name is Doug. I was a Volunteer First Responder (EMT) to Ground Zero after the attack on the World Trade Center.

I have severe Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as a result of the time that I spent at Ground Zero. I had been working as a 911 Dispatcher for the past 25 years, but I had to stop working because of my illness. My job had me on short term disability but that ended and now I have no source of income. I'm being treating by the WTC Health Program and I've filed for worker's compensation but it's a very slow process. Since I can't return to work, we only have my wife's salary, which is not enough to pay our rent and all of our bills. We are close to being evicted from our apartment and our utilities will be shut off next week.
