Help Skipper the Service Dog with Medical Care

Friends, we need your help!! As many of you know, my sister Abi has Cystic Fibrosis and is in the hospital recovering from major surgery and battling a life-threatening lung infection. Her most significant source of joy and comfort, beyond Jesus and loved ones, is her 4-year-old service dog Skipper… and now Skipper’s health is in jeopardy as well.

 

Skipper has become very sick with a serious digestive system problem that has yet to be determined as biopsy results are pending. He spent one night at his home animal hospital, but then reached a critical condition and was transferred to a larger specialist veterinary hospital where he spent several days in the ICU for diagnostic tests, monitoring and treatment. He was just discharged with many meds and prescription food, now has a large sum of about $7,000 to be paid to the vets for the hospital stay, as well an ongoing cost of expensive, but vital, prescription dog food for his nutrition. He is still very weak, thin, and though stable, dealing with a serious health challenge so ongoing vet care and medication will be required. 

 

Will you join me and rally around Abi to support her through this heartbreaking time? Medical bills for Skipper's hospital vet bills at least $7,000 already, and we’re hoping to raise enough money to help her cover the vet bills, help ease the load of the cost of the prescription food and ongoing care, and thus take a massive load of financial stress off her shoulders.
